Sitting up

Hudson is working hard at sitting up by himself. He is good for only a couple of minutes and then topples over. He has a hard time keeping his head up and straight. He is getting so big and is really talking now. No "mommy or daddy" yet but only in a matter of time.

The family bed

On Saturday morning the whole family congregates in mom and dad's bed. We play, sing songs, and get tickled. This is the best part of the weekend for all of us; pets included.

Hat modeling

My mom made me model some hats for her. She dresses me in such silly outfits sometimes. I was willing to put up with her efforts because I was in my exosaucer (mom and dad call it my "office") and was having fun playing. Which hat do you like best?

Highchair

We finally purchased Hudson a highchair. He has been eating food for the past couple of weeks. He is eating either homemade or organic baby food. He loves apples and blueberries. His least favorite food is peas. He has a very healthy diet and eats solid food twice a day. Tim usually feeds him in the morning before taking him to daycare and I usually have the evening shift. He is growing so fast; we can't believe he will be 6 months old next week.

My New Pool Toy

My mommy and daddy bought me a pool toy. I love it so much! It is so great because I can just float and splash the water. I love relaxing in the pool. Sometimes mommy and daddy catch me staring at the water and daydreaming. I wish I could see more but my mommy makes me wear this ridiculous hat to protect me from the sun. She also said Aunt Lauren would yell at her if she didn't.

A Typical Day at Daycare

I am officially back at work. I had a week of work days and the kids come Monday!:( My maternity leave is finally over. BUT... We have found a fantastic place to take Hudson. His sitter, Mrs. Monica, is the best. She is so good that I have not had ANY reservations of leaving him while I go make the big money, Yeah right.

Here are some recent photos that Mrs. Monica took. The little girl in the picture is the one who got her hair pulled by my son. I told Hudson this was no way to flirt with a girl.

Hudson is really loving the social aspect of daycare. He is much more talkative and is loving to try to sit up.

Pool Today!

We went to the pool today. This was only Hudson's third time to the pool. He was 4 months old the first two times. Now at 5 1/2 months, he was splashing around in the water and seemed to enjoy it much more. Tim took a couple photos; not many that are very good but at least they are documentation. Hudson was too busy looking at the water:) He was mesmerized.
