Candy

Twix was the big hit. Tim gave him the candy before I could say no. The candy seemed to be like his prize. Hudson would constantly take a piece from his bag, inspect it, and put it back. When we got home, he dumped out his bag and attempted to eat every piece. He kept asking with "please" and a big grin on his face; it was hard to say no. We have hid the candy from him, but not from his parents:) He loves candy!

Trick-or-Treat

A Ferocious Lion

Since Hudson "roaring as a lion" is a funny sound and always makes us laugh; we decided a lion costume for this Halloween was the best fitting. We trick-or-treated on the front lawn at UVA on Friday. There were about 4-5 thousand people there. It is a tradition that we started with Hudson last year. He really got the hang of filling up his bag full of candy. He was not shy; he would walk up and stick his hand out; sometimes butting in front of other kids. It is amazing how quickly he figures out new tasks and adventures.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins last weekend. Hudson was grossed out by the feeling
of the pumpkin and did not participate; his dad had to carve all three pumpkins. Since this was the case, this is why
one of our pumpkins is sporting the Phillies logo. I hope our house doesn't get egged by a Yankees fan.

The Quest for the Perfect Apple

Hudson loved being able to pick the apple right off the tree and eat it. It was serious business.

Apple Picking- The Beginning

Apple picking was our big adventure this weekend. The weather was great and we enjoyed the day.

Picking Pumpkins

Hudson took pumpkin picking very seriously. He was overwhelmed with the selection and instisted on touching each one.

Hay Ride

We went on a hay ride today at the Carter's Mountain Apple Festival. Hudson loves trucks so he really was excited -too bad the pictures don't show it.

Random Photos

Hudson is almost 20 months old! He is into everything. He loves to wear my shoes. Tim is not so excited about this, but I think it is funny. On a side note, Hudson had homemade pesto for the first time and loved it. He is such an italian and loves his pasta.
