We spent Hudson't birthday at the Richmond Childern's Museum. This is only the second time he has been there; the first was right at 1. He enjoyed it so much more this time. He enjoyed playing with the sand and digging up dinosaur bones. True boy- loves to get dirty. At this point, anytime he sees a slide he says "weee." So, when he saw this dinosaur slide he ran for it. He probably went up and down it 20 times and did not want to share it with anyother kids.
This was by-far Hudson's favorite gift for his 2nd birthday. He started playing with it like a golf set, but then soon his dad stepped in to show him how it is done. I guess there is just a tiny bit of pressure from his dad toplay baseball:)
I still can't believe my baby boy is 2. It has gone by so fast. He is so fun right now. He repeats almost everything you say; he loves to run; ;loves anything that has to deal with trains- or as he calls it "choo-choos." We had both sets of grandparents in town for the celebrations. We all had choo- choo birthday hats, noise makers, and even wrapping paper. What a great experience. His grandpa Reese even played happy birthday on his banjo for Hudson.
We will did everything to keep Hudson busy these past two snowy weeks. I found a tiger and elephant hat for us to wear. Hudson prefers the tiger hat and roars when he wears it. I reminded him to wear it for grandpa- GO Princenton!
We are so tired of snow! We have had at least a foot over the past 2 weeks. I have worked once in the past 2 weeks. Hudson and I have had a lot of quality time together. Here are some picutres of the recent snow storm. Luckily, we did not lose power in the mess.
Since we are expecting about 16 inches of snow and I am probably looking at a four day weekend from work, we decided to get rid of the pacifiers. We explained to him that pacifiers are for babies and that he is a big boy. The new baby will use them. but he is going to be the big brother and doesn't need them anymore. The first test will be naptime this afternoon. I have heard that this is a hard habit to break. Wish us luck!
